Corporate style of GalaSport fitness club network
Task: рto develop an easily recognizable and distinct from others corporate style for a fitness club network.
GalaSport is a fitness club network in Moscow. The primary audience is comprised by the active young people who are not afraid of changes. They easily differentiate ustrasana from bhujangasana, go in for Muay Thai and lift heaviest barbells in a gym, but likewise gladly master modern dancing moves and aerobic exercises.
Transformer logo
The logo is stretched alongside the field width
The idea of striving for changes became the basis for the transformer logo developed for GalaSport. The logo comprises the company name and a concise, light ornament of leading letters G and S. The pattern resembles the classical Greek ornament meander named after the twisty River of Meander flowing in Asia.
The Greek ornament was selected for quite clear reasons: it would be wrong to bespeak (and draw) sports without mentioning the Ancient Greece, the country where the Olympics have been established. The name of GalaSport is linked to that country — translated from Greek ‘gala’ means triumph.
Silver and purple are the basic colors of the logo. Purple is the color of wealth, royalty: in the ancient era that color had been so hard to produce that its price was extremely high and only the aristocracy could afford it. Silver is intended to mollify the pompousness of purple ad make the logo simpler, more democratic and lighter. Incidentally, in many myths that color was associated with a silver thread that interlinks the soul and body into a whole. Again, this brings us back to sports and the saying Mens sana in corpore sano (A sound mind in a sound body).
